Passengers are deemed to have read, understood and accepted the following Terms & Conditions. Star Holiday Mart Pte Ltd shall be known as "The Company" in the conditions listed below.
All rates are quoted per person in US Dollars (USD), inclusive of the prevailing taxes and service charges unless otherwise it is strictly specified therein. Price quotations are subject to change without notice until a booking has been confirmed.
All information and prices shown are valid and correct at the time they were published in the website but are subject to change without notice.
All booking enquiries and bookings will be replied within 48 working hours excluding weekend and public holidays except for extreme circumstance which is beyond our control. Booking can be made directly through our website, www.starmart.com.sg or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
The Company reserves the right to decline any booking from the Customer without giving any reason and shall refund in full and unutilized monies collected from the Customer without being held liable for any claims for damage or compensation.
General Matters Relating to Tours
In the event the accommodation booked or requested for is not available, every effort will be made for an alternative in another accommodation of similar standard. This is subject to confirmation and availability.
- Triple SharingWhen booking triple-share room, please note that the third bed may be a “roll away” bed.Triple sharing for all tours shall be subject to request and availability.
- Single Supplement There will be a single supplement surcharge for a single room request The company will confirm such request at least 14 days prior to tour departure.
If there are any requests regarding special meals, dietary requirements, adjoining rooms and so on, please inform the Company when making a reservation. Such requests are subject to confirmation and availability.
Tour Package Fare and Contents
Tour fares are based on current airfares, service prices, with or without government tax and exchange rates, applicable at time of print or quotation and are subject to change with or without prior notice. The package price includes as shown on our web site..Tour price includes airfare only or just have indicated in the land price and indicated on specific itineraries, airport transfer (if any) and meals (if any), as specified in the tour itineraries/booking form
All types of special services shall be paid by the customers and must be ordered by him/her during booking
Children below twelve (12) years as on the date of departure are eligible for child fare. Child fare is based on sharing a room with two (2) adults. There will be an additional cost for a child sharing one room with an adult.
Tour Package Exclusions
Tour price excludes fuel tax, airport tax, airport security tax, airline insurance charges, visa fees, travel insurance, custom user fees as specified by the airline and airport authorities, laundry, excess baggage charges, beverages, room service, gratuities to drivers and tour leaders/tour guides and tips to the hotel porters, and all items of a personal nature. Please refer to tour staff visa fee applications, tips to the hotel porters, gratuities to drivers and tour leader/guide.
It is passenger's responsibility to ensure that his/her international passport has a validity of at least 6 months from the date of departure. Vaccinations may be required and Relevant visas ( please refer to relevant embassies/consulates of country destinations). Cancellation charges apply for any cancellation due to non-approval of visas or any other reasons as stated above. For Singapore permanent residents, please bring along your exit permits when traveling. For foreign passport holders, it is the passenger's responsibility to hold valid re-entry visas.
The company will, wherever possible, assist you to obtain the necessary visas. Service charges and visa fees will be borne by passenger. The Company does not guarantee the approval of the visa application. If for any reason, application for visa or exit permit is rejected, passengers must make known to the Company at least 30 days prior to departure with administration charges. If less than 30 days notice is given, the relevant cancellation charge as stated will apply.
The Company cannot be held responsible for any expenses, reimbursement or refund of any tour prices if passenger is refused entry by any country on the tour for whatever reasons, including lack of necessary visas.
Purchase of travel insurance is strongly recommended with respect to such areas as trip cancellation, personal baggage, personal accident, injury & illness. Under no circumstances is The Company to be construed as a carrier under contract for safe carriage of passenger or his/her baggage & belonging.
Hotel / Exchange Voucher
It is advisable that Star Holiday is indicated in your Hotel / Exchange vouchers to ensure that supplier honor the booking under The Company Account. In the case of your voucher being missing, please request your agent to fax a duplicate copy to The Company
Deposit & Payment
- Deposit of 50% is required upon booking confirmation.
- Full payment is required at least twenty one (21) days before departure.
Failure to comply with this may result in cancellation of your booking and in such event, the cancellation fees apply. Cancellation fee may vary during peak holidays (public holidays, day before and after public holidays and school holidays. A signed credit card payment form is required to be faxed to Star Holiday. Star Holiday accepts VISA and Mastercard payment only.
Telegraphic Transfer Fee
Customers are to bear the following
- Wire Transfer Cost from the sender’s bank
- Payment by Telegraphic Transfer transaction is subject to an additional service fee of US$30 per transaction on top of total payment of Tour or Tour package.
An amendment/alteration fee of US$50.00 per person per amendment will be applicable for amendment made to any confirmed booking of Tours or Tour Packages and may be subject to surcharges at point of alteration or amendment. Other charges may apply in addition to any charges imposed by third parties relating to but not limited to hotels, ground operators, tour wholesaler and airlines.
Amendments to Flights
The air ticket issued is a special ticket issued to the specified airlines only. It is non-negotiable, non-endorsable, non-reissuable, non-refundable and non-reroutable. A minimum charge of US$100 per ticket will be levied for any amendment of air tickets once issued, but subject to airlines conditions. Any alterations of the routing or change of date by the passenger is solely at his own risk. No refund will be made for any unused portions of the air tickets.
At times, passengers may request for a change in the returning flights to a later date. This is subject to the airlines' conditions, ticket validity, additional charges and seat availability etc. Any additional charge imposed by the airline will be borne by the passenger. For tours operated on chartered flights, no extension/deviation is permitted.
Extension of Stay/Deviation From Tour Itinerary
An extension/deviation of stay at the end of the tour of travel arrangement is permitted subject to maximum validity and restrictions of the air ticket, seat confirmation, and availability of accommodation prior to the commencement of the tour. The extra cost incurred to process the extension will be borne by the customer. It is the customer’s responsibility to hold a confirmed seat for the return flight. When extension/deviation requested cannot be confirmed 3 weeks prior to group departure, the customer is deemed to return on the original flight/tour schedule booked and no cancelation of tour is allowed.
Extensions/deviations of stay will be Customer’s own expense and transfer to and from airport will not be provided. For Tours on chartered flight, no extension/deviation will be permitted.
Cancellation & Refund
Cancellation of booking of Tours or Tour Packages must be notified in writing with a minimum of 30 days notice prior to departure or within the specified period allowed as stipulated in the specific Tour or Tour Packages. All cancellation must be confirmed by The Company in writing to be effective. Refund rates are based on the date we receive your written cancellation notice.
The total amount of refund will be based on the amount of the confirmed tour or tour package less 10% as cancellation fee. For individual component supplied by third party (ies), e.g. train services, air tickets, cruise, etc.; cancellation fee under terms and conditions of the third party (ies) shall apply. Cancellation fee of the third party (ies) will include refund administrative fee and any deposit committed to their suppliers to secure confirmation of the services requested. Should the cancellation be made less than 30 days, the following condition shall apply.
Date of Cancellation
15 – 29 working days prior to departure date
50% refund of tour cost or US$ 50 per person whichever is higher
8 - 14 working days prior to departure date
25% refund of tour cost or US$ 50 per person whichever is higher
7 or less than 7 working days prior to departure date
The Company reserves the right to cancel a tour or booking made at any time before the departure for any reason whatsoever, including insufficient number of participants, our liability is limited to a refund of the monies paid. The Company reserves the right to make adjustments to the itinerary wherever necessary, due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control. Any necessary modifications to our itinerary will not deprive the tour participant of program features in any way.
No Show Charges
If a guest or passenger does not arrive on the expected date and time or is not present at the designated pick-up point for pick-up or transfer to the destination, the amount paid for the specific tour or package shall be forfeited/non-refundable.
The Company does not bear any responsibility to refund for the unutilised service, transportation, accommodation or sightseeing tours that are included in the land arrangement package. The Company reserves the right to withdraw any itinerary or booking made and decline or refuse any guest or passenger as member of the tour who acts delinquently so as to endanger the health, safety or impair the comfort and enjoyment of other guests or passengers on the tour. In this respect, the company shall not make any refund for the unutilised portion of the tour.
Exclusion / Limitation Liability
Star Holiday shall not be liable for any cost, expenses or damages whatsoever incurred or suffered by guest or passenger arising from any of the following events:
- National or local emergency, acts or omissions of any government or governmental authority or agency, insurrection, civil disorder, war or military operations
- Industrial disputes of any kind, strikes, lock-outs, stoppage or restraint of labor
- Traffic congestion, vehicle breakdown, obstruction of any public/private road, highway, sea or air passage
- Accidents of any kind occurring during the Customer’s independent activities
- Theft, robbery, lost property / luggage or food poisoning
- Isolation as a result of infectious diseases or any condition likely to endanger health or safety on tour members or impair their reasonable comfort
- Any cancellation or amendment or alteration of tour itinerary, hotel accommodation or tour services as a result of any of the aforementioned events or as a result of any decision, act or omission of the Company principle(s), their agent and servants or any of them.
Star Holiday act only as agents for the hotel, bus, or car companies, railroad or steamship lines or owners of contractors providing accommodation, transportation or other services, and all coupons, exchange orders, receipts, are subject to any and all tariffs, terms and conditions under which any accommodation, transportation or other services whatsoever are provides by such hotels, airlines, bus, or car companies, railroad, steamship lines or owners or contracts. The Company shall not be liable or responsible for death or injury to any person or loss of damage to any property or otherwise including baggage, whether due to its, or its servant agents, or employees, negligence or otherwise arising out of or in connection with any accommodation, transportation or other services, or resulting directly or indirectly from act of God, dangerous incidents of the sea, fire, breakdown in machinery or equipment, acts of Government or other authorities, wars, whether declared or not, hostilities, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, theft, pilferage, epidemics, quarantine, medical or custom regulations, delays or cancellations or changes in schedules or itinerary, or over bookings or defaults or from any causes beyond the Company’s control or through the acts of defaults of the hotels, airlines, bus or car companies, railroads, steamships lines or owners or contractor providing accommodation, transportation, or other services of for any loss or damage resulting from improper or insufficient passport, visas, or other documents and that neither the Company nor its servants, agents or employees shall be or become liable or responsible for any additional expense or liability sustained or incurred by the tour participant as a result of any of the foregoing causes.
Medical advice must be given to us, Star Holiday Mart in writing, at or prior to booking, of any physical, emotional or mental condition, which may require professional attention during the trip or may require the use of special equipment. If passenger fail to disclose any such conditions, The Company organizer reserves the right to refuse to allow passenger to take the trip and passenger will forfeit the trip cost; and in such event The Organizer shall have no liability, financial or otherwise. If passenger is so challenged, passenger must bring and be responsible for all necessary items related to their own condition. If any such condition arises after the trip is booked, medical advice must be given in writing immediately. Failure to advise shall release The Organizer and all professional personnel from any liability related to such condition or its treatment. Passenger for health and safety during tour is The Organizer first concern, but The Organizer is not a medical facility. Passenger should be in good health to participate in Group Tours.
The Organizer is not responsible for the costs of any medical treatment that passenger may require during the tour. Under no circumstances is The Organizer responsible for the quality of medical care, or lack thereof, passenger may receive while on the trip.
All claims against Star Holiday Mart Pte Ltd must be made in writing within fourteen (14) days after the completion of tour, failing of which the company accepts no responsibility. All disputes if any will be subjected to Singapore Court of Law.
